I’m Sarah, the artist behind My Wild Creative. I create original paintings inspired by books, nature, animals, old landscapes, and pieces that sit somewhere between the familiar and the imagined. My work is influenced by the stories I love, the outdoors, and places that feel like they could belong in another world.
I grew up in rural Michigan, where creativity was part of my life from an early age. My dad taught me how to draw and paint when I was young, and I never really stopped. I spent most of my childhood riding horses, reading everything I could get my hands on, and making art whenever I had the chance. That eventually led me to study graphic design in college. I still enjoy digital work and come back to it from time to time, but over the years I realized that fine art is where my real passion lives. There’s something about working with paint, building a piece by hand, and watching an idea slowly come together that I’ve never found anywhere else. Today, I primarily work in acrylic and create paintings inspired by many of the things I’ve always loved.
That mix of interests eventually became My Wild Creative. I create original paintings, prints, and custom commissions, while still leaving myself room to experiment with different subjects, styles, and the occasional digital piece. I don’t really want to limit my work to one category. My interests have always been a little all over the place, and I think my art probably will be too. My Wild Creative is simply a place for all of it to come together.
I’m so grateful to everyone who follows along with me, your support means everything. I can’t wait to continue this journey alongside you.
Love, Sarah
