Custom Painting Commission
My commissions are painted by hand in my own style, whether you’re wanting something inspired by a favorite book, a specific landscape or setting, an animal, a fantasy scene, or just an idea you’ve had in your head that you’d love to see brought to life.
Choose your size, tell me a little about what you’re imagining, and send over any references or inspiration you have.
How it works
The price listed at checkout is your 50% deposit, which reserves your commission and allows me to begin planning your piece.
The remaining 50% will be invoiced once your painting is finished and must be paid before it is shipped.
For example, if the full price of your commission is $300, you’ll pay $150 + shipping when you reserve your commission and the remaining $150 before shipping.
NOTE: International Shipping
International shipping is available by quote. Because rates vary based on artwork size, destination, and insurance, international orders are priced individually.
If you’re located outside the U.S., please submit your shipping location and the piece you’re interested in through the Work With Me form. I’ll send you a shipping quote and Squarespace invoice to complete your order.

When you order, you’ll have space to tell me about your idea. Feel free to include things like:
The book, character, place, animal, or overall idea you want the piece inspired by
Specific details you definitely want included
Colors or overall feeling you’re drawn to
Things you don’t want included
Links to reference photos or inspiration
References are always welcome! They’re there to help me understand what you’re envisioning, but the finished painting will still be created in my own style rather than as an exact copy of another image or artist’s work.
Timing
Because every painting is made individually, turnaround time can vary depending on the size and complexity of the piece and how many commissions I currently have booked.
I’ll keep you updated as I work on your painting, and if you need the piece by a particular date, please include that with your commission details. I can’t guarantee every deadline, but I’ll let you know if I’m able to accommodate it.
Changes & revisions
I want you to love your painting, so small adjustments can be made during the agreed-upon review stage.
Major changes to the original concept after I've already started painting may require an additional fee, so the more information you can give me at the beginning, the better!
Deposits & cancellations
Your initial payment is a 50% nonrefundable deposit that reserves your spot and goes toward the time and materials used to create your commission.
The remaining balance is due before your finished artwork is shipped.
Shipping
Shipping will either be calculated at checkout or added to your final invoice, depending on the commission.
Your painting will be packaged carefully for its trip to you. If your artwork arrives damaged, please contact me as soon as possible with photos of the packaging and artwork so I can help make it right.
A couple other things
Purchasing a commission gives you ownership of the physical original artwork. I retain the copyright to the artwork and may photograph or share the finished piece on my website, portfolio, or social media unless you ask me to keep it private.
If the commission is a gift, you can also ask me to wait until after it has been given before I share it anywhere.
Commissions are intended for personal use. If you’re looking for artwork for a book cover, business, merchandise, branding, or another commercial use, please contact me separately so we can work out the appropriate licensing and pricing.
Most importantly, I want your commission to still feel like my artwork while also feeling completely yours. Give me the details that matter to you, and I’ll take it from there.
